AN EVENING OF SPOKEN WORD POETRY AND MUSIC
On Thursday, October 25, 2012, from 7:30 – 9:30 pm, the Brecht Forum and the National Writers Union will celebrate the life and work of Pablo Neruda and Louís Reyes Rivera, two great poets with different styles yet united by their connection to the masses and their involvement in the fight against fascism, racism, colonialism and imperialism. CELEBRATING SAMORI MARKSMAN
On Friday, October 26, 2012, on the eve of what would have been his 65th Birthday, the family and friends of late WBAI Program Director Samori Marksman will gather, at 6:30 pm, to celebrate his life and share remembrances at the Martin Luther King Jr. Labor Center of SEIU/1199, 310 West 43rd Street, btw. 8th & 9th Avenues, Manhattan.
