Commodore Barry Park, Navy Street bet. Park & Flushing Avenues, Downtown Brooklyn

The arts and culture extravaganza begins on Thursday morning and runs daily through Sunday, from 10AM to 9PM. Get incredible African art – wood, brass and other media, African-inspired fabric and unique clothing, great food, live music and dance, and more. Strictly positive!!

World-famous reggae band Third World tears it up on Thursday. Maulana Karenga and others focus on mental health in the Saturday symposium. 

Suggested festival donation: $3 adults, $1 children; none turned away. All are welcome. http://iaafestival.org/

Community Progressive Radio (CPR-Metro) will have a table (stop by and say hi to Bernard White) and will be livestreaming the festival, along with CPR Reggae, on Fri., July 4 – Sun., July 6, from 2-9 PM. Tune into http://cprmetro.org
