LSB ELECTION: HELP COUNT VOTES – Sat., 10/23 – Mon., 10/25 – 9 AM – 9 PM

Listener elections closed on September 30th and staff elections on October 13th. Ballots will be counted at the Guillermo Morales-Assata Shakur Community & Student Center, City College, 135 Street & Convent Avenue, Harlem, each day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Help is needed to open envelopes, sort ballots and verify PIN numbers. It matters both who votes and who counts the votes.

BE AN ELECTION OBSERVER!  Last year, after an ACE member (who likes to front with a photo of Che in her background) handled some of the staff ballots outside of the view of election supervisors, 10% of the ballots disappeared. It was also learned that she had taken home notes and checks sent with returned ballots.

We need your positive energy and vigilance and offer music and light refreshments.

Directions:

1 train to 137th Street & Broadway, 2 blocks east to Convent and south to 135th St.
Any train to 125th St. and transfer to M11, M100, M101 buses to 135th St. & Amsterdam, walk 1 block east.
