From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, the Pacifica National Board will hold its in-person meeting at Manhattan’s Beekman Tower Hotel. This group holds ultimate authority over the network. If you oppose the coup and resultant bannings, firings and union-busting, and want to bring back WBAI and Pacifica to its mission, make your voice heard.

Open sessions include “Public Comment” periods. Location and travel: Beekman Tower Hotel, 3 Mitchell Place (First Avenue at East 48th Street) in Manhattan. Public transportation:  #6 to 51st Street & Lexington Ave. (accessible) or #1,C,E to 50th Street & 7th / 8th Ave. and M50 bus crosstown to 1st Ave; M15 bus. Also, the Justice & Unity Campaign has endorsed the very important “One Nation Working Together” — a broad-based national rally in Washington this Saturday, Oct. 2 (sponsored by the NAACP, SEIU, Council de la Raza, AFL-CIO and other unions and progressive organizations), calling for action by the administration and Congress to massively create jobs, aid the unemployed, reform discriminatory criminal justice policies, and support quality public education, among other issues.
